♡ L.A. Girl Beauty Haul + Review ♡

If you didn't already know, Beauty Bay have recently begun stocking L.A. Girl on their site and, of course, I felt that I needed to take advantage of this and purchase a few of their products. L.A. Girl is a brand that I hadn't actually heard of until quite recently and I actually hadn't realised how inexpensive their products are so the entire order was kind of a risk of me since I had absolutely no idea which products were good or which shades to purchase. While I was a little unsure and a little worried about getting the wrong shades or being disappointed with the products I chose to purchase, I figured that, at the end of the day, the products are super inexpensive so it didn't really matter too much if I got the wrong shades.

As this was my first ever order of products from the brand, I chose not to go too crazy and only get four items - I picked up the Pro BB cream HD High Definition Beauty Balm, two of the Endless Semi Permanent Auto Lipliner Pencils (one in the shade 'Natural' and one in the shade 'Nectar') and, finally, the Pro Primer HD High Definition Eyeshadow Primer in the 'Nude' shade. In total, the four items came to £13.98, which I don't think is bad at all, considering the cost of most typical drugstore products (I can rarely buy a foundation or base product for less than £6).

With the BB cream, I think I did a pretty good job with my shade selection - I picked up the shade 'Fair'. It's a super lovely product and feels really nice on the skin - obviously it doesn't offer the same amount of coverage as a proper foundation, but the product does offer some (relatively good) coverage, which is always nice. I do really like the formula and the product in general - and I especially like the £5 price tag. I think this is a good product for the summer time in particular because, let's face it, a full coverage foundation isn't necessarily needed during the hotter months so a lighter option with less coverage is ideal (at least, it is for me).

The two lip liners that I ordered are both really pretty - though I will admit that one is much more wearable than the other. I chose to purchase the lip liner in the shades 'Natural' and 'Nectar' because I wanted to try a more neutral, everyday shade and I also wanted to try a brighter, more 'out there' shade - hence picking up the 'Nectar' shade. I really like the product (surprise surprise) and the formula and application is really lovely - though I do think that the 'Nectar' shade is a little hard to wear, since I find it harder to match a lipstick with it. The 'Natural' shade is great, though - I think it's a super versatile shade which can easily be worn with any nude lipstick. But, once again, at £2.49 each, can you really go wrong?!

Finally, I purchased the eyeshadow primer stick in the shade 'Nude' and I genuinely was quite impressed with this product. I'm not going to lie, like all of the products I purchased from this brand, I didn't really know what to expect in the eyeshadow primer. Having only really tried the Urban Decay primer potion and liquid based eyeshadow primers in the past, I was quite intrigued to see how a stick formula differed from my typical go-to eyeshadow primers. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised - I thought the product worked really well and definitely helps to give a nice base to an eye look and, once again, with it being just £4 I really would recommend trying the product - even if you don't end up liking it.

Overall, I don't have anything bad to say about the brand so far. I've really enjoyed the products I purchased and would one hundred percent purchase other items from the brand - I plan on going on a huge online shopping spree and will definitely purchase some more items from the brand. As I've said multiple times already, the products are great quality but super inexpensive and I think that's amazing - it's so lovely to be able to purchase good products without breaking the bank and, at the end of the day, at such inexpensive prices, it doesn't really matter if you don't enjoy the product as much as you'd perhaps hoped.
