♡ Urban Decay VICE Lipstick Review + Order Process ♡

As you may know, Urban Decay recently re-branded their lipsticks, introduced new lipsticks and, hence, launched their VICE lipstick collection - complete with an app to help you pick your perfect shade. Being myself, I really, desperately wanted to test out the app and make a purchase from the range and so I did and, of course, this meant I was able to review the lipstick, lip liner and the order process for you.

As I mentioned before, Urban Decay have launched their VICE Lipstick app. The app allows you to take a selfie and virtually try on the shades in the collection. The app is in the format of a dating app - using the Tinder-style swipe left and right. If you like the shade, swipe right, if you don't like the shade, you swipe left. If you like a shade, you can get more information about it - prices, matching lip liners etc etc. After going through this process, I finally chose the shade I wanted to purchase. I was most interested in trying out one of their Metalized lipsticks, preferably in a more nude shade and, after much deliberation, I selected the shade 'Peyote' - also purchasing the matching lip liner. I selected standard delivery when I placed my order on a Wednesday, and it arrived the Monday after.

In terms of packaging, both the lip liner and the lipstick packaging is stunning. The boxes are both really pretty - the lipstick boxing features the Urban Decay logo, cut out chunks of lipstick and the VICE lipstick titling. The boxing for the lip pencil also features the Urban Decay logo, with a swatch of the product in the background. Both boxes feature the title of the shades (obviously). The actual lipstick tube is silver and gold metallic, with the UD logo at the top of the tube and the colour and name of the shade at the bottom of the tube. The lip pencil is pink (in the shade of the product itself), with a silver lid and cap at the end of the tube (I'm not quite sure what it's called, as I'm sure you can tell). All in all, the packaging of both products is gorgeous and really does give a great impression of the product itself - super pretty.

The product itself is incredible. I'm absolutely obsessed with both the lipstick and lip pencil. The lip pencil almost reminds me of the Kylie Cosmetics lip liner because of what a lovely formulation it is - I find that it's super easy to apply and very comfortable to apply also. It one hundred percent does not feel as though you're dragging something across your lips, which is something I have found with MAC lip pencils. The lipstick is also really lovely and I really like the metalized formula. It's a beautiful shade with the perfect amount of shimmer and I do find it really comfortable to wear - both the lipstick and lip liner are really long wearing, in fact. I wore this lip combination on the day of writing this post, putting it on at 9:30 AM, and it's still on with no touch ups at half past 4 in the afternoon. Of course, it has lost some of it's pigmentation and intensity over the course of the day as I've been eating, drinking and talking but the colour is still there - which I'm really impressed with.

Overall, I'm really impressed with both the order process, concept of the app and the products themselves and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Like I said, I think the concept of having an app where you can virtually try on shades is really interesting and it honestly makes make up shopping even more exciting than it already is. There are a few other shades that have caught my eye from the VICE range, so it quite honestly would not surprise me if I ended up purchasing from the range again soon. This lip combination is definitely one of my current favourite lip combos and I'll definitely be continuing to wear it in the future - I love it!
