♡ KYLIE LIP KIT REVIEW ♡

After months of waiting, three restocks (two of those being sold out) and plenty of excitement, I finally managed to get my hands on Kylie Jenner's lip kit - and I could not be more excited about it. So I went for the shade 'Dolce K' which is the second shade in the first batch of shades - a light / medium brown, obviously depending on your skin tone. It comes out quite dark on myself - and, for me, is quite comparable to 'Whirl' by MAC (another one of my fave lip products).

I'll start off with the packaging of the product - and it's stunning. From the parcel packaging to the packaging of the actual tube - Kylie did an amazing job at designing this. The packaging of the delivery box is black and white, with the drips that have become distinctive to Kylie's brand dripping down the sides of the box. When you actually open the box, the inside of the lid shows Kylie's name and her cosmetics website (kyliecosmetics.com). And, at this point, you're presented with the lip kit itself - along with a cute lil postcard with a message from Kylie printed on it (thanking you for purchasing the lip kit and all of that good stuff). The packaging of the lip kit itself is also beautiful. The box is very simplistic but also extremely pretty - with the Kylie logo (her name, and a pair of lips with the lipstick dripping off of them) on the front, the name of the shade on the top, the colour of the shade itself along the top and sides of the box, and her autograph and a few little tips from Kylie herself on the back. The tube of the lip liner is also incredibly pretty - black with a metallic silver autograph and title shade on the side, with the colour of the shade printed onto the bottom of the tube, and the tube of the liquid lipstick itself is equally as gorgeous - although, it does have perhaps a slightly less upmarket feel to it when compared to the packaging of the lip liner (I personally still really do love it, though). It's a clear tube, with a black lid - once again sporting the drips around the tube and her autograph on the front of the tube.

Wearing MAC Bronze eyeshadow on my eyes and Dolce K Lip Kit on my lips

The product  itself is incredible and definitely worth the 'hype' that it has received within the media and beauty community. I had actually read a few blog posts and articles comparing the formula of the liquid lipstick to the ColourPop Ultra Matte liquid lipsticks, but I definitely would not agree with this. I find that the formula of the Kylie liquid lipstick is much creamier, and less drying on the lips. In fact, as far as liquid lipsticks are concerned, I own quite a few (including MAC and ColourPop) and the formula of Kylie's liquid lipstick is arguably my favourite. I've found that it's also super long wearing and definitely does not transfer (at least it doesn't on myself, anyway) and still feels lovely on the lips after a few hours. I would also say the same about the lip liner in the kit - it's very creamy and comfortable on the lips and the formula is great.

The cost of the lip kit was $29 with $14 international shipping, coming to a total of £32 (GBP, obviously) and I think this is great value for money considering you do get a liquid lipstick and lip liner.

So overall, I think Kylie's lip kit is phenomenal and I would one hundred percent recommend getting your hands on one if you can. The packaging is gorgeous and the formulation of the product is amazing. And, from my own experience, the shipping is very speedy - having placed my order on the evening of the 2nd of February, I'd recieved my lip kit by Saturday 13th (and, for international shipping, I was really impressed). It was a generally really pleasant experience ordering from Kylie Cosmetics and I'm so glad I decided to bite the bullet and snatch up a lip kit in the mad rush that bought over 100,000 people to using Kylie's site. I am very much looking forward to a restock of the kits and would love to purchase other shades from her range.
