A TASTE OF... LONDON | BRUNCH EDITION

If you know me, you'll know that I love food. My life kind of revolves around it (aside from the fact that it's an integral part of actually, you know, living) - most of my social life activities includes food. I love to cook (you'll see some cooking content on my blog in the near future, too) but I really love the experience of going out for food. However, deciding where to eat can sometimes be a little overwhelming, especially in cities that aren't your own. In this series, I'm sharing my top picks for food in various cities. From brunch to lunch, dinner to dessert - I've got recommendations for it all. In this, the next instalment of this series, I'm taking you through some of the best places for brunch in London.

Coppa Club, Tower Bridge

Coppa Club is one of those restaurants that, even if you haven't visited, you know it. It's pretty insta-famous, primarily for it's igloos overlooking the River Thames near Tower Bridge, and had been on my food bucket list for a very long time. I finally visited last year and have been back multiple times - both for dinner and brunch - and it did not disappoint. The food is delicious, and I particularly enjoy their brunch and it's even better on a summer morning sitting outside - the atmosphere is beautiful, it feels so peaceful and I'm obsessed. I'm not typically one to go for a full English breakfast, but Coppa Club's Skillet Breakfast is my exception - it's really lovely. And Coppa Club is probably up there as one of my favourite restaurants for brunch/breakfast ever. What a statement!

You can find it at: 3 Three Quays Walk, Lower Thames Street, London, EC3R 6AH

Nearest station is Tower Hill

Megan's

Ah, Megan's - 'your favourite neighbourhood restaurant', as they say. I love Megan's. It's a Mediterranean influenced restaurant and they do a cracking brunch. With various locations all over the city, it really doesn't matter where you're based - you can probably find a Megan's within a reasonable distance to enjoy all their brunch goodness. I would really recommend their eggs royale, and I can vouch that their smashed avo on sourdough is really yummy. If you're drinking, Megan's do a really lovely bellini so I would recommend trying that too. Atmosphere-wise, I can't really fault it at all. The restaurants are very pretty and feel very relaxed when you're there - 10/10 from me.

As mentioned, there are various locations in the city - I really love the Megan's at the Sorting Office in Islington.

You can find it at: 6 Esther Anne Place, Islington, London, N1 1WL

Nearest stations are Angel and Highbury & Islington.

Greenwich Grind

Greenwich Grind is my all-time favourite brunch place in the city. I've been going since second year of uni and, honestly, nowhere beats it - although some of the places listed in this place have come close. The atmosphere is lovely, with such a light and airy space, it really is the perfect location for a weekend brunch - it just feels fresh and calming, and I love that. Top picks are the buttermilk pancakes (pictured), breakfast burrito and potato hash. They also do the greatest mojito I've ever had in my life - I genuinely think about it on an almost daily basis, it's that good.

There are various Grind locations around the city, including London Bridge and Covent Garden, but Greenwich is by far my favourite.

You can find it at: 17 Nelson Road, London, SE10 9JB

Nearest station is Cutty Sark DLR

Mare Street Market

I love Mare Street Market. Honestly, it sounds a bit cringe when I say it but I truly mean it when I say that the vibes are immaculate. It's kind of a mash up of everything - there's a bar, restaurant, deli, coffee shop, barber, florist, and more. But the brunch. Oh, the brunch. I think it's the perfect Sunday brunch location - it's such a nice environment and atmosphere to be in, it just feels extremely relaxed and I've felt so at peace when I've been there - it's truly lovely. They do a really delicious eggs benedict and my Mum recommends the eggs royale. I can't vouch for their alcoholic beverages as I've never tried them but I will say that their cocktails look really good and I will be returning to try them.

You can find it at: 117 Mare Street, London, E8 4RU

Nearest station is London Fields Overground
