As the great Taylor Swift once said: I'm feelin' 22! That's right my lovelies, it was my birthday on Monday and I'm officially into what I will be referring to as my Taylor Swift year.
21 was a weird one - so good in so many ways but equally bad in others, aaaand we had Covid-19 around for half of it so I guess the year turned out to be far from what we expected. I'm going into 22 with Covid still around and looking like it's not going anywhere soon so it'll be yet another interesting year, to say the least.
22 is the first year of adulthood in a different sense. It's the first year I'm not in education and, dare I say, the year that I really need to get my shit together (I mean, not that I've not been trying already). I have a good feeling about it - I'm going into this new year in my life trying to be as positive as I can, and putting my energy into places that my passions lie and things that I care about. I want to make as many memories as I can. I want to look back and not have regrets. I want to be successful. I want to spend as much time with my friends and family as I can. And I want to be happy.
I feel positive and I'm looking forward to what life throws at me (please, nothing seriously bad though - I'm not sure I could take that). I celebrated my birthday with my best friends (minus Eric) and, despite the weirdness of going out during this pandemic and with all the restrictions, it was a great night. And, of course, I had to share what I wore on my blog - so here's a little OOTD for you:
My dress is Missguided but from ASOS and my shoes are Boohoo (and blister-producing - ouch!).
I'll leave it at that for this weird lil birthday post - thank you to everyone who wished me happy birthday et cetera, and of course thank you to everyone reading my blog - I'm forever grateful, even though I don't show it with my lack of posts lately!
PS... you might have been able to tell that I'm a *little* obsessed with Taylor Swift at the moment. Ugh, what an absolute queen!
