The Vamps marketed the tour as an up close and personal, acoustic show in which they would showcase their new album, Night and Day. I have to say, I was little bit sceptical of the show as an acoustic show - just because the boys' latest singles have been quite upbeat and feature some sort of DJ / producer so I wasn't sure what to expect from the acoustic versions of such. However, unsurprisingly, The Vamps absolutely smashed it - they were incredible as usual and I had an amazing time. It was actually my first time hearing a lot of the songs live because, as it was an album launch tour, the majority of the setlist were songs from their upcoming third album - though they did throw some fan favourites in too, along with a lovely bit of audience interaction.
The set list:
- Hands
- Middle Of The Night
- My Place
- Sad Song
- Paper Hearts
- It's A Lie
- Slow Hands (Niall Horan cover)
- Stay
- Same To You
- Shades On
- Golden (only the chorus)
- Wild Heart
- Audience interaction - the boys asked the crowd for artists and then performed bits from their songs. The artists chosen for my show were Bruno Mars, Queen and The Killers.
- Shades On (continued)
- All Night
I was already super excited for the boys' third album but, after hearing the album live on Saturday, I'm a hundred times more excited - absolutely buzzing. I genuinely think that, if you can get tickets to this lil tour, you should take up the opportunity because it was incredible - but what else would you expect from The Vamps? Their new album, Night and Day is released next Friday - 14th July so also check that out when it's released. Thanks for reading this lil gig-themed post, I'll see you soon with a new one.
