CURRENT FAVOURITES | JANUARY - MARCH 2017

If you've been a long-term reader of my blog, you may have noticed that I haven't been doing my monthly favourites posts recently. As you may know, favourites posts are one of my favourite kind of posts to write, but, towards the end of last year, as I had been writing a favourites post for every single month of the year, I felt that I was struggling to find things to write about. Now,  while I am not going to be posting a favourites post every month, I am going to be doing frequent 'Current Favourites' posts, perhaps every two to three months to share my fave things with you. So this is my first current favourites post - I hope you enjoy it.

In terms of beauty favourites for the past few months, there's only been two products that have massively stood out to me when picking my faves. The first of which is one of the lipsticks from the MAC x Caitlyn Jenner collection. It's in the shade Rockit! It's a stunning beige shade and I am obsessed. It's genuinely my perfect, everyday nude lipstick and I have been reaching for it continuously since I purchased it - I'm genuinely scared for the day that it runs out. The second make up product that I've been thoroughly enjoying over the past few months is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in the shade 'That Glow'. I've been wanting one of the ABH glow kits since they launched and I finally bought one just before Christmas and I've got to admit, I haven't been able to stop using it since. My favourite shades are Bubbly and Sunburst and this highlighter palette has definitely become a staple in my collection - perhaps even my all time favourite. I am so excited to hopefully purchase more ABH glow kits in the future and, in fact, more ABH products in general because the brand has quickly become one of my favourite beauty brands of all time.

For fashion favourites, the only thing that's majorly standing out for me is a denim jacket. I recently purchased a new denim jacket as my old one was getting a bit tattered and not really for my taste anymore. I purchased an oversized, slightly distressed denim jacket from New Look. It cost me £34.99 and I am so incredibly happy with it. While the jacket was exactly what I wanted, I also wanted to personalize it slightly - so I purchased some pin badges from Topshop and stuck them on the pockets and I really think it pulls any look together. They add some more character to the jacket and make it a bit more fun, but they're also ideal as I can take them off if I ever feel the need to do so. This jacket has, surprise surprise, become one of my go-to jackets and I'm sure it will continue be a staple in my Spring / Summer wardrobe this year.

Riverdale. Riverdale has been my favourite show of recent months. I am absolutely and completely hooked on this show. It's on Netflix and, without spoiling it too much, it's based around a death in a town called Riverdale and the mystery surrounding it. I think it's got a PLL-esque vibe to it and, as you may know, PLL is one of my all time favourite series' so, let's face it: there's no surprise that I'm obsessed with Riverdale.

I haven't really been watching much YouTube lately - I'm not sure why but I've felt a bit underwhelmed with it. However, there is one YouTuber that I do make a point of watching - seriously, I don't ever miss an upload - Alisha Marie. She's been one of my favourite YouTubers for a couple of years now but lately I've been obsessed with her vlogs - I love them!

I'm not going to tell you all of my current music favourites because I do have an exciting music-themed post coming up, but I will tell you my current favourite album - you know, as a treat. I've been loving Sundara Karma's album Youth Is Only Ever Fun In Retrospect. Sundara Karma have been one of my favourite bands since I saw them support The Wombats back in 2015 and their debut album did not disappoint one bit - it's incredible. My favourite tunes from the album, I think, would have to be Lose The Feeling, She Said and Flame.

And, finally, a more sentimental, personal favourite of mine from the last few months has got to be meeting The Vamps again. I'm sure you'll know by now that The Vamps are my faves so when they popped into the arena in Nottingham for a day at the start of February, I took the opportunity with my pals to go and see them - and we did. I honestly think that I fall in love with them more and more every time I see them or hear them (cringe but true).

So that concludes my current favourites for the months of January to March. I hope you enjoyed this little update to what I've been loving recently and I'll see you very soon with another post.
