♡ New York Haul! ♡

As I recently went across the pond to visit New York, I obviously did a bit of shopping while I was there - I'm not going to lie, the majority of my purchases were make up products, but I did pick up a few clothing items also. I know I'm not the only one who loves a good old shopping haul, so I thought I'd share my purchases with the internet via my blog - enjoy!

The first items I picked up were from Bath and Body Works. I'd been dreaming of popping into BBW for so long (in fact, I used to order their PocketBac hand sanitizers from Amazon and became obsessed with them - no shame) and I stumbled across their Lexington Avenue store on one of our little day trip adventures in that neck of the woods. I picked up 10 of their PocketBacs - five for me and five for gifts, so I'll only show you the ones I purchased for myself: Champagne Sparkle (which is my favourite), Peach Bellini, A Thousand Wishes, Crisp Morning Air and Fresh Sparkling Snow. And, of course, to go with these, I picked up one of their PocketBac holders - a little sheep with a bow that actually flashes (how cute!). Finally, from Bath and Body Works, I also picked up one of their fine fragrance mists - in the scent Fresh Sparkling Snow, to match the PocketBac sanitizer I purchased. I'm extremely happy with my purchases and would definitely like to see the brand come to the UK in the future.

The next store I visited whilst out in New York was, of course, Sephora. I'm actually quite embarrassed about the amount of money I spent in Sephora ($250) because I didn't get nearly as much as I wanted to but, with that being said, I did still purchase a lot of products from my little make up wish list. The first item I picked up is something I was so unbelievably happy about, because I do know that it sold out extremely fast - the Master Palette by Mario from Anastasia Beverly Hills. This was my first ABH product and I'm so massively impressed with it and would like to do a full review on the palette in the near future so keep an eye out for that.

I also picked up three Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks in the shades Lolita, Double Dare and Bow N Arrow, which I am also incredibly impressed with, and would definitely recommend - especially now Debenhams in the UK are stocking the brand. The next lip products I picked up from Sephora are the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Dusty Rose and the ABH gloss in the shade Vintage - once again, I've been super impressed with the products, but I definitely gravitate towards the gloss more than the liquid lipstick, just because it's more moisturising on the lips and the colder weather isn't helping my lips (they keep cracking and it's gross, so I'm doing my best to avoid drying lip products at the moment).

I also picked up the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in the travel size, because I wasn't quite sure about the shade I picked up and wanted to check that I liked the formula before going ahead and buying the full size version - it's not exactly the cheapest concealer on the market, after all.

I also stopped at the Formula X stand, because I've heard a lot about the Formula X nail polishes and I really wanted to test them out. Due to this, I couldn't help but pick up the shade 'Impeccable' and the shade 'Baroque Babe', which is from the Huda Beauty collaboration collection. I am yet to use the polishes, but the shades are absolutely beautiful so I can't wait to do so.

The final product I picked up from Sephora is yet another eyeshadow palette (oops), and it is the Tarte Tartelette in Bloom palette. I really wanted to purchase this product because it's so massively hyped about on the internet, and I have used it and I would definitely agree with all of the hype - the formulation is great and the shade selection is absolutely lovely, though I would prefer a couple more shimmer shades as I am personally not much of a matte eyeshadow kind of girl. I also got given my Sephora birthday gift - I picked the Marc Jacobs set which comes with a mini lipstick and a mini eyeliner.

While in America, I wanted to take advantage of the drugstore make up brands that we don't have over in the UK so I dragged my Mum into various CVS stores and we hunted down some brands that I wanted to test out. The first of these brands being Wet N Wild - I was actually not very impressed with the lack of choice and different products in stores, I don't know if it was just the stores we went in but there didn't seem to be much Wet N Wild products available. With that being said, I picked up two of their glitter singles - I picked up the shades Spiked and Bleached. I am yet to properly test these out, but I thought that they would be perfect for the Christmas season. Along with these, I picked up one of their shimmer palettes in the shade I'll Have A Cosmo - it's a lovely pinky silvery shade and I really like it, also, Cosmopolitans are my favourite cocktail so I just had to purchase it.

My next stop in CVS was the Milani stand, where I picked up two lipsticks - one in the shade 'Teddy Bare' and one in the shade 'Matte Naked', which are both really gorgeous nude shades, aka my favourite shades of lipstick. Next in CVS was the Covergirl stand because I really wanted to try out the Katy Perry range so I picked up the Katy Kat Matte lipstick in the shade Sphynx / Sphinx which is, once again, a lovely nude shade.

I also popped over to the Maybelline section and ended up purchasing the Fit Me! Foundation stick. I'd seen this in Kathleen Lights' battle of the foundation sticks video on YouTube and was really interested to try it out and, since it isn't available to purchase in the UK, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase it over in America - though I'm not quite sure that I got the correct shade.

My final stop in America in terms of shopping was Forever 21 - a long term favourite clothing store of mine (seriously, look through my wardrobe and the majority of my clothes are from F21). I picked up this gorgeous blue blazer-style coat (for $42.90) and two knit jumpers (both costing $17.90) and I'm super happy with my purchases. The jumpers are so incredibly comfortable and the coat is stunning - they're definitely going to be staple items within my winter wardrobe - and they were so inexpensive! Ah, amazing.

And that concludes my huge New York haul. I really hope you enjoyed seeing what I purchased in NYC, and I will do my best to keep you updated on what I think of the products that I purchased, but so far, so good.
