OOTD: London Trip!!

Choosing the perfect outfit can be tricky, especially when you're visiting a huge city like London in February. I mean, come on, the weather at this time of year is a 'lil bit crazy - one day it's sunny and relatively warm, and the next day it's pouring down with rain and it's freezing cold so it can be so difficult choosing outfits that are suitable for both the weather, and the occasion - and I can't forget feeling comfortable and confident in your outfit. These are all struggles I had to deal with when planning my outfit for my trip to London on Friday. Obviously, it was a casual day trip with my Mum - we went shopping and so I could take some images and do a photoshoot for my photography coursework, but even though it was just a casual trip I wanted to look good, obviously.

I chose to wear my striped top from Forever 21 (I briefly mentioned this in my What I got for Christmas 2014 post a few weeks ago) because I absolutely adore it, it's one of the comfiest tops I own and it has literally been my go-to shirt for the past few weeks. It's my favourite! I actually purchased another one of these shirts in like a burgundy/purple colour whilst I was in London this time. When I first purchased the first one, I was like 'OMG I need to find another one of these' but, unfortunately, F21 had sold out and they did not have any in stock online and because I don't live close enough to a store, I couldn't buy another so I was so happy when I came across another in store - although I have noticed that I can't find it online.

I paired my grey and white striped top with my plain black skinny jeans, because you can never go wrong with a good pair of black jeans, am I right or am I right?! Mine are actually from F&F at Tesco and they were super inexpensive, but they're so comfortable and I love them.

My scarf is from Dorothy Perkins, and I feel like I've talked about this tartan scarf in quite a lot of my posts recently but that's because it's my favourite and it's definitely a personal essential of mine throughout the colder months.

My Chelsea boots are from Boohoo.com and I purchased them probably around April last year. They're so comfortable and they've also been one of my go-to items for the past few months.

My bag is actually from the Kardashian Kollection when it was stocked at Dorothy Perkins - I got it back in 2013 I do believe. It's a very handy bag as it's so easy to style and is great quality. I chose to use this bag because I feel like the more neutral colour worked well with my outfit (and it was the only bag I own that fitted my camera and camera bag in!).

Finally, my coat is from Asda and I purchased it back in October for the Winter. I've worn it so much over the past few months and it's so warm and I find that it's super easy to style and wear - yet again, another personal Winter essential of mine!
