OOTD: My birthday party!

Happy Sunday! It's my birthday! So, naturally, this post is going to be based upon what I wore for my birthday party last Saturday. I have to admit, I wasn't really looking forward to my birthday party but I was looking forward to wearing my outfit, and I can't wait to share it with you guys!

For the event, it was just a house party type-thing, nothing remotely special but I still wanted to look nice so I wore a tartan print shift dress that I ordered online from Forever 21, and I really love it. It's a super comfortable dress and I personally think it looks great. It has a slight hi-low appearance, with a round neckline. At the back, the zip is exposed and I really like the fact that it's quite a long zipper, because I don't really see any dresses that have that particular style in the back.

I paired the dress with my denim jacket from New Look - it has an acid-wash effect, and it is probably one of my favourite jackets for the transition from Summer to Autumn (but it's perfect for those days in the Summer where it isn't super warm, but you don't want a massive coat on too!). However, I didn't really wear my jacket much because it was actually really warm to say it was a night in late September! My friend ended up using my jacket as a blanket, because she got cold towards the end of the night.

My footwear for the night were my black, cut-out booties that I got from Select at the beginning of the year (March time, I think). These shoes are so comfortable and my feet didn't hurt by the end of the night. They have a small heel, and cut-outs at the ankle of the shoe, where the buckles are accessorised with gold, metal plates. I find that these shoes are such good value for the price I paid (they were only £20, but I got them for £12!) and I do really love them.

For my jewelry, I just wore my cute little flower

studs from Forever 21, and my gold chain necklace, that is accessorised with a love heart in the middle which is from Primark.

Overall, I really like my outfit from the night - and the party wasn't too bad either! Happy birthday to me! My next post will probably be another OOTD post, as I'm spending today shopping in London, but I don't know if I will end up doing another OOTD post next week. If anyone has any suggestions for posts I'd love to hear them, so leave a comment below or tweet me (my social network links are in a post further down my blog). I hope everyone has a lovely week, and enjoys whatever they're doing for the remainder of this weekend. * Also, please note that these are my personal pictures.

See you next week!
