A FEW NEW YEAR GOALS

Note the use of 'goals' rather than resolutions. I'm the kind of person that's not necessarily big on resolutions - I feel like, if you really want to change something, you don't need there to be a new year to do so. With that being said, I always feel that a new year is a perfect opportunity for a clean slate and I like to look to the year ahead as a new chapter - one in which we don't need to change things, but as a chance to achieve something; hence, the use of 'goals' in my post title.

I feel like 2018 was a great year for me and, even though I didn't really achieve many of my 2018 goals, I'm happy with the outcome of the year and the person I became during the year. So, with this newfound positive outlook, here are a few of my 2019 goals.

  1. Do more work experience.

  2. Read more - at least a book per month.

  3. Stick with my blog, and keep up with my content - no more disappearing for weeks at a time.

  4. Say 'yes' more - but also feel comfortable saying 'no' when I want to.

  5. Stop thinking about how things will affect other people, and think more about how they'll impact me - put myself first.

  6. Be more open with the people around me, and on my blog, for that matter.

  7. Stay away from Instagram Live.

So, on that note: Happy New Year and I hope that this year brings you everything you hope - and, if you're setting yourself goals and resolutions, I hope they go well for you.
