A DAY AT THE RACES | GRWM

My family - particularly my Dad - have always been big fans of horse racing. While horse racing isn't my favourite sport (or pass-time), I can't ever remember it not being a part of my life - as a family, we've been going to the races for years and, even now, it's just as exciting as it was for me as a child. It's a day like no other, so to speak, and it's the perfect opportunity to embrace your inner fanciness as such and dress up.

So, as I'm sure you'll have gathered, this previous weekend, my parents, my best friend and I went to Newmarket Races for the day. The day was part of their Summer series which is a series of race meets followed by a concert in the evening and - this won't shock you if you're a frequent reader of my blog - the event for Saturday 25th was afternoon horse racing and a post-races gig by none other than The Vamps. So, not only did we get a nice trip down memory lane by having a day at the horse races, we also got to see The Vamps live once again - it's the perfect deal for everyone in my family, really; everyone wins! Today, I'm sharing with you my GRWM and a few pictures from the day - enjoy!

OOTD:

It's always nice to spend some quality time with your family - and best friend - and we all really enjoyed the day which was unsurprising. I'm sure we would all recommend attending one of the Summer series events at various racecourses, though - the (pretty much) free gig at the end is the perfect way to complete the day! It's a winner with me.
