LOS ANGELES | PHOTO DIARY

Los Angeles: the city of angels, home of the stars - basically the dream city, right? It's a place that's been pretty much at the top (or at least near the top) of my travel bucket list for as long as I can remember so you can imagine how I felt when I actually visited California at the start of the month. To put things into context, we flew from London (Heathrow) to LAX on the morning of Tuesday 3rd July, our hotel was in Long Beach - about a half an hour drive, or an hour on the Metro, from central Los Angeles - and we flew home technically in the evening of Wednesday 11th but landed late afternoon on the Thursday (that's time zones for you). So, all in all, it was basically eight days of jam-packed sightseeing and typical tourist adventures - and a whole lot of Instagram opportunities - and it was wonderful. But we're not here to listen to me babble on about how great my time in LA was, we're here because I have a little tradition on my blog of sharing my photo diary from pretty much every trip I go on. So here we are; my photo diary from my LA trip.

As I've mentioned, I had a great time in LA and I'm super grateful that I've been able to visit and experience everything that we did while we were there - celebrating the 4th of July was an experience, too! My highlights were definitely the Warner Bro's Studio Tour (living my best PLL / Gilmore Girls life), Griffith Park (even in the 40 degree heat) and I really enjoyed Santa Monica, also. My overall verdict is a good one - I do think the Los Angeles area a great place to visit and I'm so glad we did it because it's kind of a once (or twice, maybe) in a lifetime trip but it made me realise how much of a city girl I am - New York is so much more my vibe, so maybe I won't go back to LA specifically, but I sure would love to visit San Fransisco and other areas of California. Either way, this trip was great and I feel very lucky to have been able to go on it.
