WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS | 2017

It's that time yet again, my friends - today, I'm sharing with you (as per heyitsjodie tradition) my what I got for Christmas haul for 2017. As usual, I'm obviously not trying to brag or show off in any way, shape or form by sharing what I received - I personally love reading and watching these hauls and really enjoy sharing my own. You can read my 2014 What I Got For Christmas post by clicking on the link, along with my 2015 post here and 2016 post here, if you're interested in seeing what I received in previous years.

Firstly, I would like to say that I am extremely lucky in what I received this year. I'm incredibly grateful and, although Christmas isn't about the gifts but is more about spending time with those you love, I have definitely been spoilt this year so thank you to anyone who got me a gift, gave me money and so on.

I'll start with what I received from my family. These are in no particular order but any presents in this lil section were from either my parents, my brother or my cat (lol) - I'm probably not going to specify which were from each of those gift-givers because I'm not entirely certain which were from who (after all, my Mum will have purchased all of them!).

I always, always get a calendar for Christmas - this year, obviously, it had to be The Vamps' calendar - would you expect anything less?! I also get a new pair of pyjamas every Christmas so this year I received some Minnie and Mickey Mouse pjs which I believe are from Asda - although I do not have a photo to share (I'm wearing them!).

I actually received quite a lot of perfume and body spray products this year so the first of which is a rollerball version of the Victoria's Secret Bombshell perfume along with a gift set which contains the mist and body lotion versions of the same scent (which is gorgeous, by the way). I also received another VS gift set - the I heart Shimmer Pure Seduction set, containing a mini (75ml) version of their Pure Seduction fragrance mist and the shimmer mist - which I'm very happy with.

Along with these Victoria's Secret goodies, my Mum (bless her lil heart) had enlisted one of her friends on holiday in New York to go to Bath and Body Works and pick up some of their fragrance mists and shower gels. So, I received two of their Magic In The Air fragrance mists and one of their Fresh Sparkling Snow (aka my favourite scent of all time) shower gels which is so thoughtful and lovely and I'm so incredibly grateful for those.

I also received some skincare bits and I'm so happy with these because they are new full size versions of the skincare products that I use already and I know they're quite expensive so I never buy them for myself as I just cannot bring myself to spend £30-£40 on skincare products, which is probably not great but I'm a poor student! So, I received a new bottle of my fave Rodial Dragon's Blood Hyaluronic tonic and the Benefit B.Right by the Bay gift set which contains my favourite moisturiser, along with some other little goodies!

Moving on, I was very lucky and received a couple of make up bits and bobs too. The first of which is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sugar glow kit - something that's been on my wish list since it launched back in October. I also received the Marc Jacobs Snake Charmer gloss lip lacquer gift set which has five mini Marc Jacobs (obvs) glosses in so I'm very happy with that because Marc Jacobs glosses are truly incredible.

The next thing I received were some earrings from Ted Baker. They're really lovely little dainty hearts and I'm so happy with them because I'm always appreciative of earrings as I tend to wear the same three pairs constantly so I think these will be a staple in my earring wardrobe.

The last bits and bobs I received from my family were a book from the Gossip Girl series, some Simple make up wipes because I always need make up wipes and some Tetley tea bags because I've had the revelation only this year that I actually like tea now - now that should've been in my 2017 Round-Up post!

Okay, moving onto the gifts I received from my friends. My best friend Sophie got me such a cute gift which I think is really thoughtful. The first thing she got me was a little plaque kind of thing which says 'True friendship never melts away' (which is 100% true). She also got me some chocolate buttons (YASSSS), a really adorable cat mug which I can't wait to use, and a lil fluffy cat key ring so I'm so grateful of that present - thank you Sophie B, if you're reading!

Another of my best friends, Emily, got me a Miracle Sculpting Sponge and a Mini Medium Sculpting Brush from the Real Techniques Christmas collection, along with some macaron chocolates which are incredible - I love chocolate and I love macarons so where can you go wrong?! Thank you so much Emily for my lovely gifts, if you're reading this.

Finally, I received quite a bit of chocolate and some money from various family members so I'm very grateful for those also.

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and spent some great quality time with their loved ones and had a bit of rest and relaxation in the busy festive period. This is actually going to be my last post of 2017 so I really hope you enjoyed this lil Christmas haul and have an incredible last few days of the year. Thank you for reading this post and supporting my blog over the past year - it's been a great one and I appreciate it all. And, on that note, I'll see you in the new year! XO.
