♡ My Revision ESSENTIALS!! ♡

Welcome back to my blog - here I am, once again, with a revision-themed post for today. As exam season is well and truly underway now, I wanted to share my revision essentials with you. Some of these things will have been touched on in my Revision Tips and Tricks post a few weeks ago, but there are a few other things that I love having for revision.

Colours and fun revision equipment. Probably the most important essential for me when it comes to revision. I love having brightly coloured pens, paper and general revision equipment and resources. I think that having bright colours and eyecatching designs etc. really help to screw ideas into your head - well, this is the case for me, anyway.

A good revision playlist. I mentioned this in my previous revision post, and it really is an essential for me. I cannot work to silence and I love listening to music when I revise as I find it super relaxing but I'm still able to get some significant work done at the same time.

Snacks and drinks. Keeping hydrated and not being hungry while you're revising is very important. You'll find that you'll be able to concentrate much easier and will be less distracted than you would be if you stop yourself getting food and drink because you're carried away with the workload. I like to keep a bottle of water on my desk for the day but will also get a more exciting drink from time to time - a Fanta or Starbucks chilled coffee or something, for example.

Comfortable clothes. This is potentially the most obvious but one of the most important essentials for me. If you're sat there in a full face of make up (I like to let my skin breathe on intensive revision days), a crazy dressy dress and generally uncomfortable clothing, you're probably not going to get much work done. Let's face it: if you're comfortable, you'll be more relaxed and will find it a lot easier to get work done.

A specific study place. Having a specific area that I like to revise in makes it easier to differentiate between relaxation time and work time - therefore, giving me more concentration and motivation for when I am doing my work.

Flashcards, mind maps, exam questions and posters. These are all more fun ways to revise (minus the exam questions), but are all super helpful and effective revision methods. Flashcards are great for an on-the-go option, where other people can test you or you can test yourself. Mind maps are perfect for getting ideas down on one sheet. Exam questions help you learn exam technique and see where you're going wrong and how to improve and, posters are great for a colourful alternative while getting a lot of information down on one sheet.

So there are a few of my main essentials for revising. Do you have any essentials that I've missed out? Let me know, and I'll see you very soon with a brand new post. Xo.
