♡ Kylie Cosmetics Glosses Review ♡

Unless you've been absent from social media for the last couple of weeks, you'll know that Kylie Jenner has released a range of lip glosses, in addition to her existing lip kits. And, of course, me being the beauty obsessive that I am, I managed to snatch up one of her glosses in the shade 'So Cute', and here I am, once again, reviewing the product (just like I did for the original lip kit in Dolce K).

I'll start with the basics. Kylie released three nude-based shades entitled 'Like', 'Literally' and 'So Cute'. With 'So Cute' being the lightest of the bunch and 'Like' being the darkest. Each of the glosses cost $15 USD each, or you can purchase the entire set of three for $45 USD. I worked out that my purchase of one lip gloss, plus international shipping came to a total of around £22 - including my bank's non-sterling purchase fee. I do know that a few people have mentioned having to pay customs on their orders, and I have also heard from various people online that they believe this has been completely random and some people have had to pay customs, while others haven't. I just want to quickly note that, in all three of my orders from Kylie Cosmetics, I haven't had to pay any customs fees at all - so I'm not sure if that's a geographical difference perhaps.

You receive 0.09 fl oz. of the product in the tube and it does not come with any additional liner - unlike the Kylie Lip Kit. According to the site, you can layer the gloss on top of your lip kit, or with your favourite lip pencil. I did try this technique with my Koko K lip liner, but I actually preferred it on it's own - or maybe with a different liner (I have so far only tested it with the Koko K liner).

The packaging of the product is lovely - but I wouldn't say it's as nice as the Kylie Lip Kit packaging - but that could be down to the fact that it's just a smaller sized product (in terms of the amount of items), and therefore has smaller packaging. One thing I will note about the boxing of the product is that it feels a lot heavier than the lip kit boxing - probably because, once again, you only get one item in the box and therefore cannot have more of a flimsy box to hold it. The packaging of the actual lip gloss tube is pretty much the same as the tube for the liquid lipsticks and, to be completely honest, I'm still obsessed. I think it's a very pretty design and one hundred percent suits the product itself - Kylie definitely did well on that one.

In terms of the actual product and the applicator, I will admit that I wasn't impressed on my first use. I don't really like the applicator (though, at the same time, it isn't my least favourite in the world) and I was slightly surprised with how thick and creamy I found the gloss to be - however, after a few uses, I have got used to it and do actually quite like the formula. I found that 'So Cute' was quite an opaque shade (as I've heard the other shades are too), but I do think it's a little bit streaky - possibly due to the fact that it's a relatively light shade. The product is definitely glossy and, as I mentioned earlier, very creamy and did take me a while to get used to but I do really like this, and it feels very relaxing on my lips. It's definitely not a sticky gloss, and I'm so glad of this because I typically hate sticky lip glosses.

Overall, I do think the products are great but I'm not sure that I'd rush to purchase them again (and that genuinely pains me to say, because I'm such a huge fan of Kylie's other products). I would be interested to see how I got on with the darker shades, but I don't think I'll be causing myself anymore stress trying to purchase one - I'll stick with the liquid lipsticks, instead. To be completely honest, I think the shade selection is quite simple and I don't think that there are any shades in the glosses that you can't find somewhere else. With all of this being said, I want to just let you know that I do genuinely like the product, and Kylie's range, but I just don't think I'd rush to spend my money on another gloss (but this isn't shocking for me, as lip glosses aren't my lip product of choice).
