Last Minute DIY Christmas Gift Ideas!!

Hey everyone! This feels super weird typing up a post on a Monday as I usually post on a Sunday, but you're getting two posts in two days - aren't you lucky?! Anyway, there is a reason for this post: as it is 22nd December and Christmas is in 3 days and some people may not have completed their Christmas shopping and might be running out of ideas of what to get people, but I've got you covered with this super easy (and super cute!) scrapbook gift idea. This gift is so easy and so quick to make, you could probably get it done within a couple of hours - depending on how much detail or how large each bit is going to be.

All you need for this DIY Scrapbook is:

  • A scrapbook (obviously)
  • Scissors
  • Glue - or you can use double-sided tape or washi tape if you prefer
  • A printer (unless you already have the pictures you wish to use printed)
  • Patterned paper (or you could print some)
  • A Christmas card (this is optional though)

One of my best friends made me this scrapbook for my Christmas present and, oh my goodness, I think it's so cute and it's probably one of the nicest things anyone's ever done or given me - I love it.
  1. Get all of your equipment
  2. Choose your pictures that you want to use (you could also use screenshots of texts, tweets or even snapchats if you wish) and print them off, if you haven't already.
  3. You can also do this with the patterned paper you want to use for your background, if you haven't got actual paper and prefer to print patterns to use.
  4. Using the scissors, cut the pictures (and patterned paper) into the shapes you want to use - some people may prefer to keep the images in a simple square or rectangle whereas others may want to cut into other shapes, this is the same with your background paper too.
  5. Personally, for the next step, I'd go through the scrapbook and stick the patterned paper down to use as a background.
  6. Then, begin to stick down your pictures onto the background paper and continue to do this until you've completed sticking the pictures and no longer have any left to stick down.
  7. Then go back to the front of the scrapbook and on the back of the front cover, stick a Christmas card down to make it super festive - you could leave it blank or write a message on it, it's completely up to you.
  8. Then, finally, go back to complete your front cover - you can do this any way you wish and put whatever you want on the front, if you wish.
Sorry if this step-by-step guide isn't great, but it's a super personal gift which is easy to make and it's really up to you how you do it. These steps are just to show how I would make it if it was me making it. The scrapbook shown in the photos is one made for me by my friend Sophie. I think that this is a great gift that is so personal and so nice to give people for Christmas, as it shows you've made an effort and I'm sure it would be very much appreciated.

I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas!!
