My Back to School Essentials!!

Hey guys! Today was my first day back at school after the summer holidays and, if I'm honest, the day went pretty fast! I know a lot of you have already gone back to school but I thought that I'd do a post on what I have in my school bag and what my 'Back to School essentials' are, so I hope you enjoy this post and let me know in the comments what your back to school essentials are.

I'm going to start off with my school bag. I know a lot of people choose to use backpacks and rucksacks for their school bags, however for the past few years I've not been using a backpack for school (purely because they get on my nerves when you need to put it on your back and then mess around trying to put your books away if you're in a hurry) but I get a new school bag every year. This year, I wasn't really finding any bags that were screaming out to me, however I did end up finding a bag from River Island that I really, really love. I'm not going to lie, the bag was more expensive than I would usually want to pay (my school bag from last year was £20 from Camden Lock Market!) as it was £45, but I wanted a bag that I liked and one that would be strong enough and big enough to fit all of my books and folders into - and my new bag is perfect for that! I've found that this bag is super comfortable to wear, and I personally think it's really stylish and I love it so I would definitely recommend it to other people.

Here is the link to buy it online from River Island: Black woven panel metal trim tote bag

(P.S - this is my photo, and it's a little over-exposed because of the lighting but oh well).

Okay, now I'm going to get into what I keep in my school bag and my essentials...

1. Body spray! I always keep a mini can of body spray or deodorant in my bag because you never know when you may need it! You may just want to freshen up throughout the day, or you may just choose to take it for when you have P.E. I find it's always good to have some with you!

2. Mascara. I have a mini Barry M mascara, that I got in a magazine once, that I keep in my bag in case I feel like I want to top up my mascara or it has run. I also have a 'Make Up Academy' mascara that I have at home, that is my back-up mascara if my Barry M mascara is finished or has dried up (I use MUA mascara when I go on holiday too, because it feels more natural and doesn't feel as intense as my usual mascara).

3. A pocket mirror. You never know when you may need a mirror, and if you have one with you, you can never go wrong!

4. Tissues. I always keep a pack of tissues in my school bag because, yet again, you never know when you may need them. If you have a cold or don't feel great, or even if somebody is upset, they are a great essential to have with you - just in case.

5. An umbrella. You never know what the weather will turn out to be like, especially in England, so I prefer to take an umbrella with me just in case the weather turns for the worst when I least expect it!

6. Lip balm. I love to have some lip balm with me throughout the day to refresh my lips, a personal favourite of mine is the Maybelline baby lips in the shade/flavour 'Peach Kiss' as it is such a natural colour but it feels so good on your lips.

7. My seventh essential is a bottle of water. It's extremely important to keep refreshed and hydrated throughout the day, I know it can sometimes be hard to remember to keep drinking but it is really important so I always try to keep a  bottle of water in my bag.

8. My final essential(s) are basically everything you need for school. For example, pens, pencils, notebooks etc. I also take my memory stick every day just in case I need to put some work on it or transfer it from one computer to another - it's just a really easy thing to carry with you, and it's also extremely useful.

These are just my personal essentials for school, so if you have any different essentials I would love to hear them - let me know in the comments! I hope everyone has an amazing year at school or college and you all enjoy it.
